the mountain man
it is hard to imagine so many sleepless nights have been lost over a person.. so many thoughts thrown away to the stars.. so much time wasted on yearning for nothingness.. only to realise the other person has long moved on to another paradise.. or has he?
maybe its just a little holiday in the mountains.. a short reprieve from the wave of emotions travelling telepathically to him over the radio waves.. finally reaching him way up there in the mountain top.. where he has lived a reclused lonely life.. surrounded by the trees and teased by the bears.. waiting for a sign from the sun to tell him its christmas.. and that is time for him to descend the mountain to find the person whom has touched his heart deeply through the unspoken and the unseen.. who has shed a river of tears over a simple rejection.. who has fit him like an old worn pair of shoes that refuses to be thrown away..
but it is not yet time.. not in a long while i reckon.. for the sun retreats its gaze.. playfully hiding behind the shady clouds.. showing him only a glimpse of the past and a nugget of the future.. a sparkling wanderlust in its eyes and a sampling of the fantasies to come..
for now the rainclouds are forming and it is time for him to go back to his mountain cabin.. once again to wait for the 2nd coming of a sunny summer solstice
